Great week of broadcast, I too like many others have served down there but back in 1995 not during conflict. Made me get my photo album out and re-live some of the amazing things I saw while there. I did a lot of Bristow copter hopping so lucky to see a lot that the islands have to offer and not just snowy Mount Pleasant Airfield! Tea and Cakes are just the BEST.......happy landings gang.

Hi Simon,
I served on HMS Glamorgan during the conflict in 1982. She was struck by an argentine exocet missile on the 12 June at 0637. 13 men lost their lives. Your broadcasts from Stanley have been fantastic. Every day for Falklands Vets are very difficult. April, May and June in particular are extremely hard. Ive been back to the Falkands 4 times since 1982, most recently in 2011 when 35 of us Glamorgans unveiled our memorial down at Hookers Point close to where the missile that struck us was fired from. Get down there if you can, its a beautiful spot. Its a beautiful place and will forever be etched into my memory. Great show. Repect to all of my Brothers in Arms from 1982.
