Lynn Parsons

Lynn’s 30 year career in BBC and commercial radio began in the early 1980s on hospital radio. She quickly moved onto Guildford’s County Sound before arriving at London’s biggest commercial station Capital Radio in 1987.  Four years later, a move to BBC Radio 1 saw the start of a five year stint as a night owl, presenting the evening, overnight and early morning shows on the station.

Lynn went onto host shows for BBC World Service, BBC Radio 3, Virgin Radio and BBC Radio 2. An early adopter of podcasting, Lynn launched successful music and talk podcast series’ The Chalet Show and latterly The Red Light Zone. 

Lynn is a familiar voice to Smooth Radio listeners having presented on the station since 2007. 

Lynn is not short of hobbies. She can usually be found at her local swimming pool (in a past life, she was a fish!), playing the piano, painting onto canvas or making some seriously tasty organic chocolate cakes…so stay on her good side, in case she wants to share! 

Lynn presents on Smooth Radio every weekend from 10am.
