Dave Brown

Dave Brown
Dave Brown started his radio career at Radio Tees in the northeast of England in 1982 before becoming a member of the 1984 launch team of what was to become one of the UK's biggest success stories in terms of audience and revenue figures - Radio Broadland in Norwich.

Dave rose through the ranks at Radio Broadland to eventually become programme controller. After a break in commercial radio, Dave joined the BBC Eastern counties team presenting on BBC Radio's Norfolk and Suffolk and hosting networked shows across as many as eight stations in the Eastern Region.

Commercial radio once again came calling and Dave freelanced at GMG stations across the country before settling at Smooth Radio.
Dave's musical passion is Motown and this is reflected in his Motown show; on-air every Saturday evening at 6pm.

When he's not on the radio, Dave is a bit of a film and theatre buff and loves to visit his local screen. He describes himself as a trivia nut and loves spending hours surfing the internet and listening to radio from across the globe. His football loyalties are divided between Middlesbrough and Norwich City.

Dave presents the Motown Show every Saturday from 6pm.
