At the age of just 15 Carlos got his first taste of radio as the early morning presenter on Wiltshire Radio whilst still at school. During his time there, he was a guest on The Russell Harty chat show in 1983 as the youngest radio presenter in the country.

Over the next 20 years Carlos became a much-loved broadcaster on local and regional stations around the country – from GWR's very first test transmissions, to shows on Signal Radio, Red Dragon, the Chiltern Radio Network and Northants 96 and latterly on stations including BRMB, 100.7 Heart FM and Wave 105.

He joined Smooth Radio in 2007 and is currently presenter of the Smooth Drive Home.

When away from the studios, Carlos enjoys spending time with his wife Claire and daughter Martha. He is regularly mocked for his ridiculously large collection of floral shirts and his love of vintage fountain pens – the latter of which has cost him more than he'd care to admit! 

Carlos presents the Smooth Drive Home every weekday from 4pm.
