Jump To It was produced for Aretha Franklin by Luther Vandross and has just been re-issued on BBR Records. Arista Records put the two superstars together and the chemistry was magical.

When I interviewed Luther at the Mid South Colosseum in Memphis in the late 1980s, his memories of the recording sessions were vivid. There had been plenty of artistic tension and Aretha would not budge an inch on various issues but the end product is one her best sets outside of her Atlantic recordings.
