The postman has been very kind to us this week with a pile of great new CDs arriving, including more in the Backbeats series and some classy material from Ace Records. At last a tribute to the writing skills of Phillip Mitchell with a new release on Kent Records and from BGP Records fine music from Lonnie Liston Smith and Leon Thomas.
Archive gems from Otis Redding and Carla Thomas, The Temptations, The Impressions, Alexander O'Neal, Gil Scott Heron and Bobby Hebb plus some Northern classics from The Prophets and Major Lance. The Quiet Storm stars Luther Vandross, Sandra Feva and The Chilites and we're off and running.
Join me on Saturday from 8pm, right after The Motown Show with Dave Brown

Hi Andy,I do love your choice of tracks,is it yourself that creates the playlists?
I have recently purchased a few albums, all the Mystic Merlin albums, and the GQ albums,my favourite groups from the 80's,I was in my early teens then, just couldn't afford the albums at the time,so glad that I have them now.Could you possibly play Mr Magician by Mystic Merlin please,as I think thank Freddie Jackson has a great voice, and one of the best at the time.
Thank you
