You can listen to Smooth Radio across the UK, so we want to provide you with information that best suits your region. You won't need to set your location next time you visit.
Starlight Supper is an annual charity event from Smooth Radio that aims to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. This year's Starlight Supper takes place on Saturday 10th March 2012.
Smooth Radio encourages listeners to host (and attend) dinner parties and to listen from 8pm on the evening of the Starlight Supper for the perfect soundtrack for your evening!
How do I get involved?
First stop would be to register. Once your registration has been received, we will send you a complete Starlight Supper pack including recipe suggestions, invitations and place cards. We hope this will make preparations for your evening just that little bit easier!
Then, all you have to do is organise your Starlight Supper. Invite your friends and/or family, plan your menu and hey-presto! Then from 8pm on the evening of 10th March, listen to Smooth Radio, where Andy Peebles will be hosting a very special show. Not only will there be some ideal music for your dinner party, you can also call into the show to get a mention for your Starlight Supper and take part in a music quiz!
How do I raise money?
Put simply, you ask your guests for a donation! They shouldn't complain too much; they'll receive some great food and good company, after all!
Do I have to hold a Starlight Supper on 10th March?
Well, we'd like it if you could join us on-air from 8pm that evening, but we won't hold it against you if you're already busy!
If you can't join us on 10th March, just choose a date that suits you and make sure you submit your donations to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Who receives the donations?
Every single penny raised from each Starlight Supper will go to Macmillan Cancer Support. Smooth Radio will not receive anything!
Can I donate even if I'm not holding a Starlight Supper?
Of course! If you're unable to host a Starlight Supper, the easiest way to donate is online via our JustGiving page.
What's on Smooth Radio's menu for their supper, then?
Rumour has it that Simon Bates is inviting us all to his place and is serving up some '70s-themed dishes...should be interesting!
